remember water babies? if you don’t, here’s a refresher.

i had a friend who lived down the street named lauren. we didn’t own water babies, but we sure did want to.
instead, we would steal the newspaper bags from people’s front lawns (leaving behind the newspapers of course – we had no need for those) and would fill the bags with water from the garden hose and knot the top. once filled, and swaddled in a blanket, it felt just like a little water baby.
we’d take turns holding out new little bundle of joy until it our thin-plastic-skinned child sprung a leak (usually within minutes) at which point we became doctors rushing to save the dear child’s life!
anyways… speaking of water babies… how about this one?
