… insight from sarah…
how would you describe your wedding to someone who was not there?
I would describe it as very romantic. The amber lighting, huge floral arrangements and lots of candles really made the room feel romantic and cozy. It was absolutely beautiful and it was exactly how I envisioned it.
is there anything you wish you had done differently when planning your wedding?
I would have hired a month planner. I used a day of planner (Kristin at Confetti Events) but I think a lot of stress would have been taken off if I had someone that month to help with last minute details.
which three vendors were most important to you when planning your wedding?
1. Florist- FH Weddings helped us with SO much and we had many meetings to make sure everything was perfect. They helped with so much, not just the flowers and we LOVE them.
2. Photographer- Pictures last forever and it was very important that they were beautiful and the soft look that I love.
3. Band- We had to have a rocking band that would get everyone dancing til the very end and they definitely did!
what was your biggest wedding day splurge?
Our florist. We really wanted a WOW room and they definitely delivered.
was there a moment during your wedding day that surprised you?
How quickly the desserts disappeared!
what was your favorite moment of your wedding day?
Being out on the dance floor with all our family and friends. When “Sweet Caroline” was playing and everyone was jumping with their hands up it made me so happy to see everyone having such a fun time.
when you look back on your wedding day in 50 years, what do you think you’ll remember most?
How much fun we had, how stunning the room was and how lucky we are.
