stacy, my sister-in-law, called this morning to ask if michael and i would like to come help her pick out a beagle puppy. of course, we said YES! after all, we are pretty much professionals at this now. 🙂
and, even better, was that we were heading to manny tomas, the same breeder michael and i got our little beagle, meeka, almost 7 years ago! here is a picture of meeka the day we went to pick her out back in 2004…
but today was all about finding lily!
stacy already knew she wanted a little girl and manny (who only breeds one or two litters a year) just happened to have two little girls not yet claimed from a litter which will be ready to leave their mom next week. it was meant to be!
oh, and it was a family affair. stacy had me and michael, and also her sister, melissa, and our niece, madison, in tow. none of us can resist a beagle puppy it seems.
after spending some time with them, stacy knew which one was to be ‘lily’ and claimed her! she’ll be able to pick her up next week!!
