yesterday started out very foggy with a chance of beagle.
my friend netta called to ask if michael and i would be interested in accompanying her and her husband, sheen, to a beagle breeder to take a look at some beagle puppies. and just in case my “YES” wasn’t emphatic enough, she told me that the breeder than informed them that this litter had, “exceptionally long ears.”
yes, PLEASE!!!
on our way to beagle puppy heaven…
we met netta and sheen at their house so we could all go over together and netta told me they were purposefully going without money on them so they couldn’t all of the sudden come home with a puppy. but really, was that plan ever going to work?? maybe it could of… but not after meeting four ADORABLE 12 week old little balls of beagle-ness. with exceptionally long ears, no less.
so, after having a very hard time knowing which was the puppy for them, it all became very clear to sheen.
now, i think he just had to get the okay from netta to throw their dog-less life out the window and become puppy parents.
this is the three of them together… having the conversation that made them a family. : )
the decision was made, netta and i ran to an ATM to get the dough, and we left with one more in the car than we had arrived.
it was so, so, so much fun.
so, meet the newest addition to the cesare family: julius!
(check out that impressive ear-span he’s got)
since it really was supposed to just be a look-see visit, we headed straight to petsmart to load up on supplies.
food. bowls. nail clippers. puppy shampoo. leash. etc…
and, michael and i got to buy little julius his very first collar and a toy that our own beagle, meeka, loved when she was just a litte puppy, almost 7 years ago!
here is julius on his innaugural pet store trip.
after getting the little things, we drove out to clearwater to pick up a crate, and then finally back to netta and sheen’s house to see julius’s homecoming and to leave the family of three to be.
it was a really long day but one of the best, best, best days!
