dressing a family of five is decidedly more difficult than dressing a family of 3! approx 66% more difficult, in fact. but really, probably more so than that.
for this ficticious family family of five, i began with the older sister’s top which has both pink and orange and so began the color palatte for the group. however, i’d advise against dressing five people in just two colors. that could be quite difficult without having them looking way too matchy-matchy, so i added in brown and blue to widen the variety of choices and to also tame down the prink and orange at the same time.
while the pink and orange is fun and would look great in photographs, if paired with purple and green too, it may start to look a bit like a circus. brown and blue are good grounding colors.
when blended together this palette looks fresh and happy for this modern family. they each look like parts of this whole, but all have room to express their own styles and personalities within the guidelines of the color grouping.
