… insight from stacie …
what was your favorite moment, or favorite part, of your wedding day?
One of my favorite moments from our wedding day was our final dance to “signed, sealed, delivered” by stevie wonder. I remember grinning from ear to ear during the dance; it was a fun way to enjoy each other and end the reception with all of our friends and family.
which three vendors were most important to you when planning your wedding?
The three vendors that you end up working the most with are reception site, photographer, and bridal store. Having a reception site that really centers around the feel you want for the wedding is so important. The fun and relaxed atmosphere at the white room was perfect for how we wanted the day to go. It was vital that we booked a photographer that we were comfortable with and had a reputation of excellence. Marissa stayed an hour longer that we had originally planned and came up to scout picture sites before the wedding. We could not have asked for a better experience; she was there capturing photos of the night we wanted to remember forever without taking over the intimacy of the reception. Lastly, it is important to buy your wedding dress from a store that you will work with your schedule. I am a bride who lives in Orlando and bought my dress in tampa, and malindy elene consistently changed my appointments with my schedule and stayed open late for me. They were so pleasant, fun, and encouraging to work with in the months preceding the wedding.
what was the best advice you received when planning your wedding?
The best advice I received was to keep the wedding party small, and I can tell you it made all the difference. we each had 3 in our bridal party (I had my twin sister and two close friends and Brett had his father and two brothers), and it made the day perfectly carefree and fun. The four of us had time the day of the wedding to get ready, eat lunch, and play board games while enjoying a glass of champagne. If you keep the wedding about the two of you and those you love the most, it will go so smoothly.
when you look back on your wedding day in 50 years, what do you think you’ll remember most?
I think I will still remember the moment right before my dad and I walked down the aisle when we were outside of the church with the doors closed. The sun was so bright and their was a cool breeze and a sense of calm and happiness that I can instantly go back to.
