…insights from mina…
how would you describe your wedding to someone who was not there? what were some of your inspirations? how did you envision the wedding prior to your special day?
We were inspired by the clean lines, symmetry, and geometric shapes in art deco-style architecture and design.
which three vendors were most important to you when planning your wedding?
La Vie En Rose, Invitation Galleria, and Hands on Sweets. Making acrylic invitations, searching high and low for the perfect gold tables and chairs, and creating a sample tier of our cake so we could see it in advance–all three vendors were willing to go above and beyond to bring our vision to life.
what was your biggest wedding day splurge?
My two Naeem Khan dresses.
was there anything encountered during wedding planning that was unexpected?
I thought it would be difficult to find the perfect dress, but I fell in love with both of my Naeem Khan dresses after seeing pictures of them on the runway. I sent the designer my measurements and ordered both of them without ever seeing them in person or trying them on! I’m not sure what I would have done if I hated the way they looked once they were sent to me, but fortunately that wasn’t a problem!
what was your favorite moment, or favorite part, of your wedding day?
Seeing how everything like the flowers, lights, table settings, etc came together for the first time.
