… insights from marlaina …
how would you describe your wedding to someone who was not there? what were some of your inspirations? how did you envision the wedding prior to your special day?
My inspiration was soft and romantic. We tried to incorporate “us” into the details – the handwritten and homemade seating chart, writing our own vows, having my grandfather sing us a song that we danced to. We ended our fairytale wedding in a horse and carriage!
which three vendors were most important to you when planning your wedding?
Flowers, photography and videography
what was your biggest wedding day splurge?
Dress + accessories and flowers.
what was your favorite moment, or favorite part, of your wedding day?
Everything went as planned (except for a few gusts of wind). I enjoyed everything!! The best was at the end of the night when we rode off in the horse and carriage and we talked about what an amazing day we had and how well everything turned out.
when you look back on your wedding day in 50 years, what do you think you’ll remember most?
Our first dance, my dance with my father, my grandfather signing, my dress and the horse and carriage!
