painted the new space today! what do i call this place? i keep wanting to say “studio” but it’s not really a studio. i still want to do 98% of my shoots outdoors and around town, but, in theory, i could mayyybe shoot there. only a small, not very fast-moving child, but still. : )
the real purpose of this new place is for client meetings and appointments. so… what is it called? “office” sounds so un-fun and implies that i’ll be doing office work there, which i am not. “meeting space” is very accurate, but sounds like it’s a boardroom and not a cute, little, yellow cottage with a metal roof. i think i’ll stick with the (inaccurate) “studio” for now.
so anyways, i painted the studio today! for some reason i thought this would take me about 4-5 hours. i mean, it’s one room ( a not very big room) and a little bathroom. how long could that take?
the answer: FOREVER.
it was my. whole. day. but, so glad it has a fresh coat of paint (and trying to forget, at least for tonight, that the painting isn’t yet quite finished, as i need another coat of cheery yellow in the bathroom before the mauve-y gray is totally abolished)!
what does this also mean? it means that i am starting today’s to-do list (placing orders, replying to emails, revising design proofs) at midnight. ugh. long night ahead.
