what was your favorite moment, or favorite part, of your wedding day?

One of my favorite moments was walking down the aisle with my father, and seeing my soon-to-be husband’s face!

which three vendors were most important to you when planning your wedding?
Photographer, Florist and Reception Venue

what was your biggest wedding day savings? (and was it worth it?)

Surprisingly, the flowers! With simple white orchids, roses and hydrangeas, we were able to achieve an elegant and classic look without breaking the bank. We did supply the containers on our own, which also helped keep costs down.

what was your biggest wedding day splurge? (and was it worth it?)

One of our splurges were the invitations, which we both loved. Since they set the initial tone for the day, we felt it was worth it.

what was the best advice you received when planning your wedding? (and did you listen?)

Some of the best advice I was given was a reminder that the wedding is one day, but your marriage is the rest of your life – and not to get caught up in the small details (even though those can be fun) and focus on the real reason for the wedding.

was there anything encountered during wedding planning that was unexpected?

It was surprisingly challenging to collect the RSVPs for the wedding!

when you look back on your wedding day in 50 years, what do you think you’ll remember most?
I think I’ll remember getting ready with the bridal party, seeing Peter’s face for the first time, our first kiss on the altar, smiling at everyone while walking back down the aisle, my father’s toast and dancing with my friends and their children. It was truly a magical day and I hope I don’t really forget anything!
