… insight from the bride …
Q. what was your favorite moment, or favorite part, of your wedding day?
A. My favorite part of my wedding day was spending the first half of my day getting ready with my Bridesmaids! It was so special having all my best friends in one place at one time. We ate breakfast and lunch together and truly got to relax before all the excitement.
Q. is there anything you wish you had done differently when planning your wedding?
A. There is really nothing I wish I would have done differently when planning my wedding. I am a natural planner so it was easy and fun! I was sad when it was all over.
Q. which three vendors were most important to you when planning your wedding?
A. I definitely had the most correspondence between my florist, reception venue contact, and my day-of wedding planner. My florist handled not only my flowers, but linens, furniture, decor, and much more. My reception venue contact had great suggestions on vendors and helped everything come all together. My day-of wedding planner relieved a lot of stress and responsibility between my Mom and I the weekend of and even the day after the wedding with communication between vendors, drop-offs, and returns.
Q. what was your biggest wedding day savings? (and was it worth it?)
A. My biggest wedding day savings was buying my dress used from preownedweddingdresses.com! It was totally worth it! I fell in love with my dress at a boutique in Orlando and couldn’t stop thinking about it. I found 6 online in my size and chose the one I didn’t need to make any alterations to and that came with the veil. I purchased my dress for 75% off!
Q. what was your biggest wedding day splurge? (and was it worth it?)
A. My biggest wedding day splurge was my custom wedding monogram. It was definitely worth it! I used it on napkins, koozies, thank you cards, and can use it on future stationary!
Q. what was the best advice you received when planning your wedding? (and did you listen?)
A. The best advice I received when planning my wedding was take a moment throughout your day to look around and take everything in. It truly is the best day ever. To have all your friends and family in one place at one time is rare!
Q. when you look back on your wedding day in 50 years, what do you think you’ll remember most?
A. Looking back on my wedding day in 50 years, I think I will remember having all of our friends and family in one of our favorite places for a weekend. Our wedding guests truly treated the weekend as a vacation and everyone was able to relax and have the best time. I highly recommend a destination wedding!
