… insight from caitie …
what was your favorite moment, or favorite part, of your wedding day?
Seeing my husband for the first time and seeing the decor and our vision all come together. When you put so much into something, it’s an incredible feeling to see the beautiful turn out.
which three vendors were most important to you when planning your wedding?
Photographer, Florist and Cake
what was your biggest wedding day savings? (and was it worth it?)
Bringing in a lot of decor ourselves. Such as centerpiece vases, candle holders, picture frames etc. it saved quite a bit financially, was fun for me to get to pick out pieces I truly loved and that were unique and instead of paying good money just to rent them for a night, we own it and get to do what we please with the items such as save or re-sell.
what was your biggest wedding day splurge? (and was it worth it?)
Swarovski Crystal toasting flutes. It’ll be worth it if they photographed as well as I hoped they did. Otherwise no, I barely took 3 sips out of it.
what was the best advice you received when planning your wedding? (and did you listen?)
Enjoy it and try not to stress it because it goes by so fast. I tried to listen to an extent.
was there a moment(s) during your wedding day that surprised you?
How quickly it went by.
when you look back on your wedding day in 50 years, what do you think you’ll remember most?
The look in my husbands eye when we did our first look and first locked eyes. Unforgettable.
