allison and joey’swedding started off 2012 with a bang!

if you remember from their engagement session, i mentioned that these two met while in the theater and dance programs at the university of florida. for two performers, their wedding did not disappoint! it was full of singing and dancing and entertainment for their friends and family.

to start the day off, all the girls got ready at the bride’s family home

allison and joey married at the beautiful sacred heart catholic church in downtown tampa.

after the wedding ceremony, we headed to ybor city for the reception.

so grateful to the nice man that let us onto this balcony!

allison and joey choose to hold their reception at the ritz ybor, a concert and event venue, which fit these two perfectly!

the flowers and decor were dramatic and fun and perfectly executed. i can’t tell you how excited i get when someone has given this much attention to the details! it’s so much fun to photograph all the little parts and pieces that you know are filled with thought and creativity.

allison and joey started the night off with an AMAZING choreographed first dance.

i’ve seen a lot of choreographed first dances, and letmetellyou… being two dancers pretty much means that your choreographed first dance will beat up anyone else’s choreographed first dance, any day of the week.

and just to make sure we were all adequately impressed, joey serenaded his new bride…

(and can we just all note that it is sitting atop a plexiglass box… which is filled with dog treats… which have been painted silver. amazing.)

and here is the wedding cake, making sure it was just as awesome so as not to be upstaged by the grooms-cake! (and of course it got it’s own plexi box, filled with ribbons of film!)

at the end of the night, just when their guests thought they had had all the fun there was to be had… the after party started up, with a crazy dj and more props/costumes/toys than i’ve ever seen in one place! it was crazy!

allison and joey pulled off a night to remember and i hope it is just one of thousands of amazing days to come in their lives together.

simply cinematic was there to capture allison and joey’s wedding day in motion, and they also played an incredible same-day edit video at the reception. the guests LOVED it, and so did i, so i wanted to share that with you too!
